Multifaceted Time

When you talk, or just think about 'time', you may believe that you are always referring to the same thing. You are not. The usual meanings are rather practical: time can be intended as chronological (indicated by a clock) or it can more generally mean the progress of events. But there is also an "emotional" time, which is not 'fixed'. It is experienced when you are anxiously waiting for something to happen or when you are bored (and time seems to never pass), or when you are enjoying yourself a great deal (and time seems to fly). Time can be also undetermined, as in memories, in which case it doesn't actually have a measurable length. You can leap from one memory to another, in your past, in your present, possibly even in your future - when a memory hasn't been created yet. What a fascinating thought!
