Ignorance as a Choice

In general, people don't like "good" advice. Why? If it could help them to live better, why aren't they eager to follow it?
Possible reason #1:They are not willing to make the effort ("It sounds too difficult").
Possible reason # 2:They don't believe it is possible ("Why try?").
Possible reason #3:They prefer to complain rather than improve their situation ("This is the way it is").
Result? They stay where they are because they knowingly ignore the possibility of a better life.
