Conformism

You have been told, not only in words but in many other ways, that you need to "conform" in order to fit in, in order to be accepted by society. It is neither totally nor necessarily true. Although you must be flexible because an excessive rigidity of opinions and behaviors is always counterproductive, at the same time you have the right to be "yourself" and not a copy of anybody else. A conformist is always a follower, never a leader. Examine your usual attitude and find out what your natural tendency is. Little adjustments here and there are usually possible.
