C.S.I.

The other day a saw a college student wearing a tee-shirt with three big letters printed in front: CSI. They make reference to the well-known TV show “Crime Scene Investigation”, I thought. A fan, I thought. But, when he got closer, I could read the smaller letters under the acronym: Can’t Stand Idiots. Wow! What a statement! I then remembered having seen – long ago –  another tee-shirt  with the caption: “I am surrounded by idiots”. A similar bold affirmation. What to make of them? Are the “young” people who wear them, right? Are they wrong? Do they really believe they know it all? Don’t we ALL believe the same? i.e. I am right and you are wrong, I know better than you, You don’t understand, etc… A little self-examination might be useful at this point.
